So you have a few vmdks attached to a virtual machine but cant tell which virtual disk corresponds to the disk on your guest.
This can happen if you have several disks of the same size.
Not wanting to remove the wrong disk this could be troublesome.
Lets say I want to remove the E drive's vmdk.
I cant check just by vmdk size since they are all the same. E F and G are all the same size
Go to Disk Management
Select your volume's disk and click properties
Right Click the DISK not the volume
This box shows you that the SCSI ID is 0:3
Bus Number 0, Target ID 3.
In virtual machine settings I found the vmdk with SCSI ID 0:3
Im going to delete it. If successful the E drive/disk3 should go away.
Looks good, E drive went away successfully. We removed the proper drive rather than the wrong one.
Thanks iw123
