Repeated characters when typing in remote console in the vsphere client

So suppose you are connected to a remote vm and are accessing the console of the vm.
Every time you hit the keyboard it types in extra characters.
how do you prevent that?




1. Power off your vm
2. Edit your vms settings
3. Go to  options->advanced ->general->configuration parameters









4. Insert  keyboard.typematicmindelay   with a value of  5,000,000.  That is in microseconds, making that a 5 second delay before it starts repeating letters on auto. You use add row if this doesn’t exist, which it will not.
